Wow, it’s only Wednesday and this week has already been crazy!!!! Where to begin!

First of all, I have updated our wedding website (Charlie & Brittany.com) to include the wedding party, etc. We have gotten a lot done as far as the major bookings, etc and are super excited about what the future brings us! Only 8+ months until the big day.. It’ll be here before we know it!

Auburn played Mississippi State this past weekend in Starkville, MS. We put a beating on them… War Eagle. This weekend is going to be a true matchup with LSU coming to town for a nationally televised game on CBS! The LSU game is always a good one down to the last second! I found out the other night that Mom has an extra ticket (since dad and john will be enjoying the opening day of dove season) so I will be going to the game with her!

If you haven’t been to a game this year in Auburn, let me fill you in on some of the new upgrades of Jordan-Hare:

1) New scoreboard on the North Endzone… Far better than previous years.. this one actually works!
2) New murals on the east side - one has Tommy Tuberville in it, one has the 1957 team on 1/2, and the 2005 team on the other
3) New west side entrance - Very impressive new brick entrance with better signage, etc
4) 200ft Ribbon Video Scoreboards on the Middle of the Upperdeck - kinda like basketball/hockey arena scoreboards
5) Pat Dye Field / Jordan-Hare Stadium Signs - also on the middle of the upperdeck

Check the new features out this season if you get a chance! Oh yea, more bathrooms too

Currently, I’m tentatively scheduled to take yet another certification test this Friday. This one is for CompTIA’s Network+ certification. Wish me luck!

In work related items, I have been cleared to go to the WinConnections (Link) conference in November. It is located at the Mandala Bay Resort in Las Vegas. This conference is going to be heavy on the Windows Vista platform, as it is expected to be at or close to the final build and release. I have had the chance to briefly play around with the Release Canidate 1 that came out earlier this month. It seems to be a lot more stable than any previous release. I hope to have time between now and November to sit down with it for about a week straight and just hammer away at it and try to learn it as best I can. I am looking forward to going to this conference. I went to the same conference in Orlando back in October of 2004 and it was a good conference. It was a lot smaller than the Microsoft Tech-Ed conference, which has its advantages of not having 1,500 people in one session, etc.

I think that’s enough for now, sorry for the delay in posting since the last entry… I promise to do better Bring on those LSU Tigers! War Eagle!

Well today is Friday, and I am finishing up my SQL Server class in Montgomery. What a class! I believe I have learned so much about not only the 2005 version, but also 2000. Hopefully I’ll be able to remember it all to put it into use back at work!!!

Well, I expect Auburn to begin buzzing with football fans today (if it hasn’t already)! Football season is here for the next 4 months. I just hope AU shows the world what they really have!

It’s been a strange last couple of days for me. I started this class on Wednesday and was expecting to spend the night with my parents Wed and Thurs night. Well, after class on Wednesday, I went home, said hey to their dog Coal, changed into some shorts, and went and sat in the den to read the new Auburn Magazine. Well, right when I sat down, I all of the sudden had shortness of breath and could barely breathe in and out!! Scary!!! I went outside to see if breathing some good ol’ Montgomery air would do the trick but it didn’t. When I would cough, it hurt really bad and was sometimes hard to stop coughing due to lack of air! My voice had also changed tones and it sounded like I had the worst case of larangitis. Mom immediately took me to Pri-Med (Minor Emergency doctors office) where I told them I had an allergic reaction to something and was having difficulty breathing! They wisked my right back and started me on a breathing nebulizer (sp?). I was on that for about 30 minutes, then the doctors assistant came in with three shots on her tray. I looked at mom and was like nooooo!!! I’m not a favorite of shots, especially three of them! I don’t remember what all they were but they said one will make you nervous and another will make you sleepy. I thought, great!!!! So they shot me up (once in the arm and twice in another not so favorite location) After all that, the doctor said it’s nearly impossible to figure out what I reacted to!! The only thing I could think of was mom had some new potporri (smell good dried stuff in a bowl) at the front door that smelled different, or Coal, or something else. I mean I was fine all day before I went by the house. With that said, the Doc said I couldn’t go back to the house that night, so Brittany and I went and ate dinner with Mom (her birthday dinner) at Sinclair’s and then I drove back to Auburn and knocked out!

So, i’ve probably missed a couple of things in that post, but that’s the gist of the story. Hope everyone has a wonderful, long weekend! Brittany and I are planning to hang around Auburn Friday and Saturday to tailgate, etc (and go to the game if we get tickets) and then go to Lake Martin and relax!!!

More to come next week! -CS
