I’ve been meaning to post this blog entry since last month but haven’t gotten around to it… One of the best feelings in the world is when you do not have any debt, and for me that debt was credit cards… As of last month, my credit card balance is $0.00 :-)

Just thought I would share… It’s a good feeling (other than items that go on behind the bathroom door) ;-)

Update continued…

June - So after a whirlwind May, June starts off just as exciting. First came our friend Lynn’s birthday party. The party was held on a private lake west of Shug Jordan off of Alabama Hwy 14. There was live music and a good time had by all!

The next morning, Sam (friend, co-worker) and I headed off to Orlando for the 2007 Microsoft Tech-Ed Conference. This was Sam’s first conference after coming on full time with IMS! We learned a lot during our time down there about Microsoft Office 2007, Vista, and a new piece of software developed by the operations team called Systems Center Essentials (SEC). We were amazed at what this software would be able to do for us in our organization! We also attended the conference party at Universal Studio’s Island of Adventure. Microsoft sure does know how to throw a party! It’s free admission, free food and drink all night, and fun rides! The only disappointment was the Hulk ride was ‘broken’ due to heavy rain earlier in the evening!

On Father’s day weekend, we were given a ‘Celebration Lake Party’ in honor of our wedding in May! The event was held at the Coblentz lake house (near Kowliga bridge). It was a beautiful house on a lake that keeps lowering in water level! Brittany and I had a great time and were glad that everyone that came was able to as it was good to see everyone!

July - July started off spending some quality time at the lake. The water being down did damper the mood as there wasn’t very much to do (as some of the marinas even had to close because the water was too low!) but we did get to put the boat out and take it over to watch the fireworks put on by Russell Lands! They were good (as always)!

After spending some time at the lake, it was time to spend a weekend in North Alabama for Mrs Johnson’s birthday and finish up our wedding photos with Heather. Heather was so nice to meet us up there for one more photo shoot to finish up our wedding photos! It seems like we took a million photos that day, but I do believe that we got some great shots of Brittany and I! We then ate at Dale’s Steak House in Florence for Mrs Johnson’s birthday! That was my first time to eat there! It was soooo good! I highly recommend if you are in the Florence area to give this place a try! Great steaks!!!!

Brittany and I also had the chance to go White Water rafting with some of our Sunday School class. We left way early on Saturday (21st) and drove up to Ocoee, TN to raft the lower Ocoee. This also gave us a chance to meet the others in our Sunday School class as everyone was ‘new’ to us! Everyone was great! We had a blast rafting and fellowshipping with everyone! We feel bad as we haven’t been back to the Sunday school class since this trip, but we have been busy almost every weekend since then!

That about wraps up July… I did fly out to Denver, CO for a conference on Sunday (29th) and will cover that in my next update… I almost have the * FEW READERS * of this blog updated on my life! Stay tuned…
